IAED's
Mission Statement

The Mission of IAED is to change lives with intelligent charitable giving...

IAED's Mission is to provide intelligent charitable economic and social projects to help the least developed and developing countries, including people impacted by deterioriating conditions in the developed countries.

IAED's Mission is linked to IAED's Charter which is directly tied to the United Nations Charter, and upholds the visions of the United Nations Charter. It is committed to the principles and goals of the United Nations. IAED recognizes the significant contributions of the United Nations to global peace and security (since the founding in 1945) which allows the corporate globalization process to develop. All activities conducted by IAED must be in coordination with the United Nations. The focus of IAED is on intelligent socially responsible economic development of the Least Developed and Developing Countries, and the charitable contributions which are essential to the "social safety net" and economic stabilization. Economic development is inseparable from "good governance" (as defined by the UNDP) which includes a safe and secure society with the stable infrastructure's necessary for economic development. Therefore, IAED is interested in all the issues and activities of the complete United Nations System.

IAED has no "official status relationship" with the UN since the summer of 1999. Nor do we want any. We operate independant of their restrictions, and more effective and efficient in our country projects. Never-the-less, we always invite key UN officials to our country projects.

IAED's over riding mission and philosophy is to understand (be aware and sensitive to) countries needs, conditions, issues and problems and to be responsive to the effective sustainable economic development solutions which can improve the well being of individuals and countries. And to provide intelligent charitable solutions whenever possible. Since we are international; every country (Least Developed, Developing and Developed Countries) which needs our help will be considered.

IAED's mission is the promotion of economic development of the developing countries throughout the world, using private entrepreneurship and investments from the industrialized countries through the exportation of their machineries and equipment, goods, technical assistance, services and economic culture practices to developing areas for the attainment of sustainable long term economic development. IAED's facilitates and coordinates its members in these tasks. Any earned (excess) revenue is devoted to specific charitable projects.

IAED's mission is to assist countries in their efforts to achieve sustainable and socially responsible economic development. IAED is interested in both the Macro and Micro-economic development issues which are required for success. It is especially interested in the problems, needs, challenges, opportunities and solutions to the successful relationship between Urban and Rural development in all countries. IAED believes many of the solutions to the Urban's problems lie in the Rural area. Rural industrialization and other rural sustainable development activities are a critical focus of IAED.

IAED also acts to help the United Nations organizations in their essential work, wherever we can, by volunteering our Members and Advisors services and time, and contributing our consultative expertise when requested by the United Nations and Governments.

IAED is dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of information coming from the United Nations. We have been extremely active in this endeavor since 1990.

IAED using its areas of expertise, at the request of governments and stressing their strategic and tactical national plans, priorities and their goals, assists in economic development through building capacity to compete effectively in the global markets of the New World Economic Order.

IAED country coordinators serve as resident and/or commuting coordinators of the operational activities of IAED, supporting at the request of governments and civil society the coordination of economic and social development and assistance. Country coordinators are the liaison between IAED and countries. They act to coordinate the expertise and technical resources of IAED's member network and the United Nations system in support of local national development. They bring key charitable projects needed in their countries to the attention of IAED's Charitable Committee.

IAED shares its expertise to assist countries to become more effective Market driven societies, to manage their markets/sales, to mange their macro debt (structural adjustment), their newly privatized companies and the entrepreneurial development process necessary for success in globalization. IAED is especially interested in the management of the micro economic development process.

IAED draws on real-world experience and expertise from successful business and other civil society members from around the world (including all countries) and the UN. IAED is an action oriented organization; focused on activities in developing countries. It facilitates and coordinates its members capacity to contribute in the social and economic development of countries.

IAED believes that South-South development can be successful by instilling the essential knowledge, skills, tools, links, confidence and independence necessary for their long term sustainable development.

IAED supports, knowledge and technology transfer, adaptation, and access to the most effective technology.

IAED will manage and audit its operations to return the highest possible charitable contributions from any revenues it receives from voluntary contributions, fees of members and/or other activities.

IAED is non-political and neutral. It is not a member of any other organization. It acts responsibly to assist in economic and social development activities in countries with its members and partners. IAED's main indirect partners will always be the United Nations Ambassadors and their countries.

IAED is totally open and transparent and accountable to all its stakeholders/members.

IAED is committed to a process of continuing self learning, self evaluation, reengineering and renewing itself. It continually looks to change and improve its own efficiency and effectiveness as a viable organization structure and its ability to serve its four main groups: 1. United Nations, 2. Diplomatic Community, 3. Countries, 4. IAED Members.

IAED will continue to support the "socially responsible" globalization process embodied in the current international development cooperation framework that rapidly adjusts to changing global, regional and national circumstances.

IAED recognizes the indispensable partnership of NGOs and the UN from the very beginning of the UN, their significant contributions to the UN, the governments, the countries and global peace and stability (sometimes the only champions of the peoples rights). Therefore, IAED will always support and assist other NGOs whenever and wherever we can.

IAED is sensitive to the social impacts of economic development in the globalization process under way. It strives for fair and equitable development. We demand "development with values"...of the highest moral, ethical and fair standards from our members.
